Anchorage and Water Sports Centre

Sail in Asia's sea base is located at Ao Yon in the middle of the beach.  SIA's  Ao Yon anchorage and water sports centre has great shelter for your yacht.   Monsoon winds blow from the South West in October and  Ao Yon Bay provides safe anchorage, at this time.  Many  skippers, may want to anchor their boat overnight in the bay, for the duration of the One Design Yacht Racing Regatta. We can recommend the good holding (mud / sand) and the easy access from our beach side location to your yacht. The base's beach launching is straight-forward, most of the time.

There is easy access from SIA's Phuket Water Sports Centre,(beach location) to yachts anchored  in the bay. The Centre has workshop and staff who can assist sailors with some minor repairs or yacht to shore transfers.  Participants RIBs may be used to transfer crews and may be left on the beach over-night.. CCTV monitors the base activity 24 hrs of the day and we have until now had little or no problem with theft or vandalism.Briefings and notices can be held here each day. Changing rooms, toilets and showers are also available.
