The Fox is one of our One Design sports boats. It is ideal for the avid racer and competent crew. The Platu class is very popular in Thailand, with almost twenty yachts sailing in Phuket and Pattaya. Sail in Asia currently has seven Platus for charter in our unique One Design Class.These yachts all have the same equipment, same sails and are all in the same good condition. The yachts are completely interchangeable and no yacht is faster than another. That's why they are so great to race as the skill is all down to crewing skills and tactics.

Our Absolute One Design Platus all have the same sails, bought at the same time and used the same amount of time (about a week).  The Absolute One Design has been quite rigorously upheld and Kevin Scott The Platu Class President has made it his mission to ensure all our yachts are in race condition for the major regattas in Thailand.  The Fox is in excellent condition and is relatively inexpensive to charter compared to all other class yachts. The Platus are a superb and financially efficient Phuket King's Cup Regatta, entry level boat.

The One Design Class of Platu is surely going to be the biggest class in this regatta. We expect local teams and foreign teams. We already have one Ladies team formed and they are going to be out practicing for five months so watch this space!

The Fox has now been repainted and is now a lovely RED so watch out Coca Cola or Air Asia.  We think we can put your Brand right in front of the cameras at three or four regattas in the next 9 months.
